Capturing Life's Moments
To me, photography is much like travelling alone: a quiet dialogue, a private and sincere encounter with the world. Even when I am alone, my camera is always present, observing, recording, questioning, and reflecting. As a documentary photographer, I strive to capture the raw emotions and fleeting moments that tell the story of life.
I believe that every photographer sees the world differently. We each deconstruct the landscapes, people, and light before us, then weave these observations into stories through our images. Having worked as a magazine editor, journalist, and motorcycle traveller, I’ve journeyed across Southeast Asia—particularly through Cambodia, from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap and the northwestern border, as well as the expansive regions of Xinjiang and Tibet in China. The sounds, temperatures, encounters, and farewells along the way gradually imprint themselves on my lens, shaping my unique documentary and humanistic perspective.
Trekking offers yet another way to engage with the world. I have camped in the tropical rainforest during the rainy season, listening to insects and rain while sharing moments with locals by the campfire at night. These experiences, though small and intimate, carry the authenticity of human life and often become the most memorable subjects in my photography.
Today, I am still on the road, still photographing. Through these images, I hope to share the fragmented yet whole world I witness and convey thoughts and emotions that words alone cannot capture. Welcome to explore my documentary photography portfolio and experience the light, stories, and human moments I’ve captured across Cambodia, Xinjiang, and Tibet.
